No one but the driver remained awake for the ride back to Rome.
That is the sign of a good day in Tuscany.

ReplyDeleteClose quarters only while waiting to be milked. They had just come in from a nice spacious pasture. It was very interesting to see them pant in unison like a large pulsing single entity.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, a perfect day! (Until the grappa came out, but that's a story for another day.)
