Local Love Lingo

Seen at a local auction house.

A fitting sentiment for today and everyday no matter how youz say it.

This odd linguistic quirk is quite specific to our area of rural Wisconsin. Nobody has any idea how it started. But, a local Small Town Boy Made Good who moved off to the Big Apple has had it come in handy. He lives in the Bronx and can pass for a lifelong resident of same!

Yes, about that.... multi-meaning slang. New York origin? Thank goodness it was all (loosely defined?)meat. It must have been the free special for quite awhile to have become permanently stenciled on the message board by that charming nicotine patina found in all authentic greasy spoon diners. Or just a short while if it hung near a regular chain smoker's favorite stool at the counter.
