Holstein Beans?
Our Midwest perspective would have lead to a different name, but West coast vision seems to have influenced this legume's moniker. We grew these pretty Yin Yang, aka Orca, beans from starter beans given to us by a seedsaving friend. We let the entire crop mature into dried beans. We plan to eat a few and save some to plant again next year. In the meantime we will admire them in a jar on the kitchen shelf.

What?? No credit given to a neighbor who brought you a wonderful heirloom bean book (this same one?) from California? Just kidding - that's enough ??????? for one commment. The beans are lovely. Be sure to tell us how they taste and how you use them.
